This page brings together the points that deserve particular attention when you bid, order, view items or raise an after-sales request on The LuxPik. It applies alongside the Bidding Rules, Shipping & Delivery and After-Sales Support pages. Where the same subject is described differently, the wording on the dedicated rules page prevails.
01 Network conditions
Bidding places real demands on connection stability. Please check your network before you bid.
- You bear the consequences where a bid fails, arrives late or is missed because of a dropped connection, device fault, browser problem or mis-tap on your side
- Live auctions and photo auctions have bidding windows measured in seconds. Use a stable connection and avoid taking part on a weak network
- The countdown shown on the bidding page follows server time. Your device clock may differ from it
- If you suspect a bid did not go through, check your order and bid history rather than submitting again
02 Binding bids and mistaken bids
A bid binds you as soon as it is submitted, so please take care.
- A confirmed bid cannot be withdrawn. Winning a lot creates a valid order and you must pay for it as agreed
- Check the number of digits before you bid. A high winning bid caused by a typing error, such as one extra digit, will not normally be cancelled
- Sealed-bid auctions usually open at zero with a reserve price, and bids are hidden from other buyers. The highest bid at or above the reserve wins
- Purchases must be based on a genuine and lawful intention to buy. Malicious bidding, malicious purchasing and malicious complaints are prohibited and may lead to penalties including restricted bidding rights
- Full details are on the Bidding Rules page, with sealed-bid rules set out separately in the app
03 Viewings and handling items
Some sales offer a physical viewing beforehand. The following applies if you attend.
- Viewings must be booked in advance and attendance may be capped, as stated in the notice for each sale
- Handle items gently and wear the gloves provided. Do not let sharp objects touch an item's surface
- You must compensate the full value of any item you damage through careless handling
- What you observe at a viewing is for your reference only and is not a final determination of condition. Condition is determined by the Platform's authentication conclusion and the listing description
04 Delivery and acceptance
Items ship by SF Express by default, with carriage payable on delivery.
- Inspect the item in the courier's presence and confirm it matches the description before accepting it
- Only tap Confirm Receipt once you are satisfied. Confirming receipt releases payment to the seller
- If something is wrong, contact customer service before confirming receipt rather than confirming first
- Filming the unboxing from start to finish gives you evidence if a dispute arises
05 Returns and authenticity disputes
- Returns are supported where an item does not match its description or a defect was concealed. All listed items must be described accurately with no concealed defects
- If you doubt an item's authenticity, you may have it examined by an accredited third-party authentication body. The Platform supports and accepts those findings
- Where an item is confirmed to be counterfeit, a return and full refund is supported
- Returns for reasons unrelated to quality, such as personal preference or fit, must be agreed with customer service in advance
- Disputes should first be settled between buyer and seller. If that fails, you may ask customer service to step in, and the Platform will decide on the basis of the evidence
06 Order cancellation
How a cancellation is handled depends on which party is responsible.
- Winning bidder at fault: where payment is not made within the stated period or the bidder refuses to proceed, the Platform may cancel the order and apply measures such as restricting bidding rights
- Seller at fault: where a seller refuses to ship without good reason, or the item differs materially from its description, the order is cancelled and the buyer is refunded in full, and the Platform will act against the seller
- Platform at fault: where a system failure or duplicate listing causes a cancellation, we refund in full and explain what happened
- Costs actually incurred by a cancellation, such as shipping already paid, are borne by the party at fault
07 Notifications
- We notify you at key moments by in-app message, push notification or SMS: when you are outbid, when a lot is won, when payment is due, and when an item ships or its tracking status changes
- Keep the mobile number and email on your account current and allow push notifications. You bear the consequences of missing a bidding or payment deadline because a notification did not reach you
- Notifications are reminders and are not a final statement of transaction status. The order page is authoritative
- We never ask for your password or SMS verification code outside the Platform, and never ask you to transfer money to a personal account. Be alert to scammers posing as customer service
